Recently, I was in the mood for a heist type of movie. And, let me just say – this is one of those ultimate heist type of films. It’s definitely not what I expected. To be quite honest, I really didn’t have high hopes for this one. It caught my eye as I was perusing [...]

My newest acquisition makes me feel like a predator. It is a pendant made by a jeweler named Rocky Fiore who has a particular fascination with Arachnida and their webs. He captures real spiderwebs and highlights their tension in pattern on a field of black.
And it’s not just the web, but the tick,
tick,
ticking much like the click,
click,
clicking of gnashing pincers of the sound of the pendant against the silver chain he chose to hang it from. Though I wear the web, I feel as though I am a giant eight-legged creature hiding in plain sight.
I found it at The Shining, a little boutique jewelry store on Henderson. Go quick though, they are closing their doors soon, but you can still order from Rocky’s site!

You know a movie is weird when the reel gets messed up and starts playing upside down and backwards, but everyone thinks it’s just part of the film! That’s exactly what happened at ActionFest during the first screening of Hobo with a Shotgun. Think about that!
What once started out as a fake trailer for Quentin [...]

You have one day before the machines rise. What do you? WHAT DO YOU DO?
Things to stock up on before the machines rise:
(beyond the canned goods, shotguns…you know, the kit you keep on hand for any random apocalypse)
* Refrigerator magnets. Nothing shames a Terminator more than being covered in refrigerator magnets.
* Molten steel/tanks of liquid [...]
